During Education Week, parents came on a tour into our classroom to see what learning is like in the 21st Century. They saw us doing our dictation test, blogging, guided reading, spelling, and BTN.
What do you think was different for the parents to what school was like for them? How do you think schooling is going to change in the next 5 years?
Hi Cortes,
We had computers and devices.
In 5 years the stuff will all ways change in the future.

Hello Cortes
I think the difference from now and before is bring bringing our own devices to school and also all our furniture too milk rates, the couch and also our collaborative table. But in the olden days they used paper instead of devices and and also wooden chairs and tables.
In the future I can see curved seats around all of the table and flying devices and walking ones too just like your own pet.

Hi Cortes
I think that in their days they wouldn't use technology as often and they would have to write their assignments by hand. I think they would also have different types of furniture and their homework would be different. I don't think they would have been able to bring their devices and they wouldn't have as many computers. I think schooling will change as there won't be as much space for sports and they will use there devices more often.

Hi Cortes,
I really enjoyed seeing parents come and see what us kids do in our school time.I really think that the parents were surprised to see how many devices one class could use compared to there school times. When our parents were in school they didn't use the technology we use today. You ask me how school is going to change in the next five years, well I diffidently think school is going to change in the next five years because scientists are already looking in to technology for the future and you never know, we will have a lot more devices than what we have now and parents will be even more impressed with how 21st century learning is going to change over the years. It was a lot of fun doing work in education week!

Hi Cortes
I think the parents did not have any indea what are we doing because when they went to school they only have to write by hand but we can use the chrome books and our school has program that is BYOD. In five years time I think that for schools, will have everyone will be using their devices and writing by hand.

Hi Cortes.
I like the idea of BYOD because its better then writing on paper like in the old days, I also like that we don't have no more blackboards or chalk, instead we use our devices and/or the Collaborative Board.
I enjoy learning and bringing devices to school, it was a really good idea, I LIKE IT!!!

Hi Cortes,
It was exciting to see our parents come and visit us. Our parents didn't have technology when they were younger. The did everything by hand. I think that technology will change a lot in 5 years because it always gets upgraded.

Hi Cortes,
Even though we only had one visitor, it was still great to show them what learning is like in the 21st century because we all know that learning was very different from back then!
Back in the days, I think all of our parents have experienced 'Corporal Punishment' as it was very common back then. Learning must have been difficult too - there was no technology back then and everything had to be hand-written. I can't imagine my life without technolgy because I technically use it 24/7!
Technology changes nearly every year so I think for the next 5 years, there will be new ways to do everyday things ( something to do with technology ) and corporal punishment may be in use again!
Lots of things will change in the next few years. We'll just have to wait and see what these 'things' are!

Hi Cortes,
I think the parents enjoyed watching us doing our activities so much! They're very lucky to have the opportunity to see what their children do in class and what they learn about.
Education changes every year, so how the parents learnt would be much different than how our education is now. Before, students would be whacked if they did something wrong but now, teachers aren't allowed to do so. That is a big change!
I think in five years time, students will never use their books to right. Probably, they would use technology all the time. Even though we use technology now, but in five years time, they would have much, much better technology than we have now! What technology do you think they would have in five years time?

Hello Everybody!
That day was VERY exciting! We got to show all of the parents how we do things in this century. No more black-boards, no more staining chalk. Say hello to often electrifying pens which can be used on a tedious yet helpful smart-board.
Say good-bye to unhelpful spelling tests and open the door to virtual, sound-recording technology. I guess that things have come far since the stone age.
Now, to what I think of schooling after 5 years. We will all be dead from the impending Zombie Apocalypse. I am pretty sure that the only thing you would need to learn is how to get an accent like Bear Grylls. I am ready and prepared for it! Well kind of, I just have a few rolls of toilet paper but I'm sure it'll be enough. But, In all seriousness, I believe that we would have faster internet, better evolved fingers for or typing and the teachers "may" get more pay. Maybe...
